No one in the wellness industry is talking about it, but there’s a whole beast to be uncovered. As leaders, we owe it to our beautiful communities to speak out and make our spaces safe again. We need to call out unacceptable behaviours—some of which are not just unethical but criminal.
You may or may not have seen however, I was subjected to harassment, stalking and bullying earlier this year that had a profound impact on me both professionally and personally.
Having received the help and support through the local police force and investigative process. I wanted to talk about experiences I had witnessed, called out and reported to keep others safe.
Let’s have this conversation. As a community leader and practitioner, alongside my fellow wellbeing practitioners, it’s crucial to acknowledge that we aren’t godly, superhuman, or special. We’re human—flesh and bone. We all make mistakes, which is why authorities and safeguarding procedures exist: to keep us safe. It's not dirty, shameful, or wrong to talk about this. These measures are in place to stop hurt people from causing harm.
Healers are no different from you. We’ve just chosen to make healing our career based on our experiences. I know many of my colleagues and fellow practitioners are deeply committed to creating safe, healing environments because they themselves have been healed and feel safe in their practices. Their passion drives them to offer the same to you.
However, there’s a critical issue in the industry that’s not being addressed. I want to discuss the unacceptable behaviors I’ve both experienced as a practitioner and leader and witnessed this year. I’m calling them out and actively reporting them because I want you to be safe, and I want to feel safe. Our spaces should be safe, and individuals who engage in harmful behaviors must be held accountable and receive the help they need to stop.
These are some signs to look for:-
If you’ve felt uneasy or unsafe in a wellbeing or spiritual space, know that there are safe spaces out there for you to practice in.
If you follow me, you know I love sharing beautiful reels, my wins, my journey, and my clients’ successes, as well as updates about the cosmos. But I also have a responsibility to ensure safety in our spaces. It’s my job, and I live by my values every day in my brand.
I don't sweep issues under the carpet. Those who know me well understand that I confront challenges head-on, even when they’re not pretty, because these are the moments where we grow the most. What you can do if you are experiencing these issues:-
To report you can check you local police form reporting system however if you are reporting issues to Dorset Police this is the form which you can complete: https://www.dorset.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/
I’m committed to my business and brand because I want people to experience the profound benefits of spiritual and wellness practices. I deeply believe that these healing spaces—mine and many others—are incredibly helpful. There are countless magical workers out there.
I share this to give you a voice regarding any malpractice you might have experienced or didn’t recognise as such until now.
Sometimes, it’s hard to see the situation you’re in clearly. Use this message to protect yourself or to reflect on your experiences.
I believe in this industry more than words can express. I want you to trust that there are safe, supportive spaces, and many dedicated practitioners. But if you encounter behaviors that seem inappropriate or potentially criminal, this is your sign to speak up and seek help.
I need your help to raise awareness. Please share this post, talk about it with friends, and send it to fellow practitioners. Let’s start this conversation and make a difference together. I can’t do it alone.
I love our community—both you and me. Let’s keep it safe, help those in need, and grow stronger together.
Standing with you.
